Requirement
The Person:
  • He / She will be responsible for budget preparation & consolidation, preparing analysis based on budget information to drive organization wide improvements on direct and indirect overheads, providing insights to management with internal benchmarks, tracking of approved investments/on-going project spend.
  • The person will supervise in preparing several management reports, which will be the basis for companywide business review meetings.
  • As a Lead member of the corporate planning team in Chennai, will be supporting global initiatives and leading number of local initiatives to identify and implement sustainable cost management activities.
  • The ideal candidate will be one who can lead and motivate a team of 3-4 people and is passionate towards getting things done in time and with impeccable accuracy.
Role description:
  • Managing a team of 3-4 people to deliver insight driven analysis and reporting.
  • Leads the global budgeting and consolidation process for Olam Group.
  • Leads tracking of actual overheads (Indirect and Manufacturing overheads) against budget and helps prepare a detailed variance analysis report on a monthly basis for Senior Management review
  • Prepares various management reports and presentation slides for senior management team and for corporate reporting.
  • Proactively undertakes analysis of business results, highlighting trends, variances against agreed targets.
  • Co-ordination with IT team for development of new reports and /or modification of existing reports for analysis.
  • Supports and leads where required initiatives to identify and implement sustainable cost management activities globally and present actionable insights / best practices.
  • The role requires the person to work with people in different time zones.
Education & experience:
  • Professional qualification a must (e.g. CA)
  • 6-7 years of experience
  • Lead and motivate a team of 3-4 people
