The role involves reviewing and investigating AML and transaction monitoring alerts to identify potentially suspicious or unusual activities. The candidate will conduct detailed case investigations by analyzing customer profiles, transaction patterns, account activity, and relevant supporting information to identify financial crime typologies and AML red flags. The individual will determine whether alerts should be closed, escalated, or recommended for Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing based on investigation findings and applicable BSA/AML requirements. The role requires strong knowledge of US AML regulations, BSA requirements, financial crime investigations, and transaction monitoring processes. The candidate will be responsible for preparing clear, concise, and well-structured investigation narratives and maintaining accurate case documentation. The individual will also escalate high-risk or complex cases to the appropriate stakeholders, collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Fraud, and other relevant teams, and ensure investigations are completed within defined quality and turnaround-time requirements.
