Job description
1. Degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
2. 10 years of working experience in pre bid engineering of Telecommunication, Security and ELV systems for Oil & Gas, Utility and Energy sector projects.
3. 10 Year of working experience in proposal engineering, minimum of 3 or more of the below systems (exp in first 2 is must):
• LAN, IP Networks + Optical Transmission Systems- SDH/PDH + Structured Cabling system
• Security Systems- CCTV, Access Control System, Intrusion Detection System, Vehicle Tracking Systems and Integrated Security Management system.
• Telephone system comprising of PABX, Indoor/Outdoor Telephones, Voice Gateways etc.
• PAGA, Page party and Intercom Systems
• Radio Systems viz. Tetra Radio system, Plant Radio systems- HF/ UHF/ VHF
Skills
• Previous experience with Oil & Gas, Industrial, Utility and Energy sector clients in India and GCC is must.
• Ensure systematic processing of Customer’s request for Quotation.
• Ensure consistency and quality in the proposed solution.
• Review Customer’s specification and identify scope of supply and qualify exceptions/compliance on timely basis
• Develop & prepare system design, technical write up & data sheets to meet the customer specifications and applicable standards.
• Provide cost effective and accurate solution for the industries served.
• Quantify commercial & technical risks.
• Manage technical expectations of customers. Support technical negotiation. Responding to technical clarifications and attending meetings with customers if required for clarifications purpose.
• Develop specification for bought out items and obtain competitive quotes.
• Prepare cost estimation & commercial proposal/Gross Profit and review with Marketing / Proposal Manager.
• Prepare complete proposal and review with Marketing / Proposal Manager, Projects and Sales team involved.
• Effective co-ordination with Sales team, representatives, project team and other divisions.
• Maintain log of all out going proposals and ensuring proper filing of proposals in line with set procedures.
• Handing over of proposal to project group on receipt of purchase order with all back-up documents.
The resource should be ready to join on priority and must have hands-on experience and should be ready to work in person on this. Have to lead from front and should be able to handle client for technicalities.
